History — BCCA Kampala

BCCA KAMPALA Parish is the fruit of God's mission that preceded and allowed the arrival of some BCCA Christian members in Kampala. Indeed, from Goma, Butembo, Beni for the majority, and other Congolese circles where the BCCA is established, many members of BCCA Kampala came to this Ugandan capital for several reasons. These are reasons such as education (youth), trade, illness and the quest for refugee status pending visas to Europe, Canada, the USA and Australia. These are more numerous than the other groups mentioned above.
Arrived in Kampala, like any believer thirsty for the Word of God and who wants to commune with others by participating in the worship service, these loved ones have integrated each or his family of local churches whose doctrine and discipline come as close as little to those of the BCCA. Over time, these Christians did not fully adapt to everything that was done and what was going on in these churches, and because of the nostalgic love they had for their community, they began to ask the general secretariat BCCA to open BCCA in Kampala.
This request was taken seriously by BCCA Bureau which put this item on the agenda of two General Assemblies: that of 2015 and that of 2016 at the end of which Kampala was declared as missionary field and decided the creation of the parish BCCA Kampala. That is why, to endorse the decisions of the AG / CBCA, in June 2016 the General Secretariat sent a delegation (made up of Rev. KISUBA NDUNGO KATEGHE Ezekieli, Rev. KAMBALE MUSAMBA Jonas: Community Evangelist and Mr. KATEMBO MUSAKALA: Executive Committee) in Kampala to see the practical feasibility of opening the Parish. Under the influence of some leaders like JUSTIN KAVUGHE and the others, that day, the delegation met with 16 people at the hotel JELIZA. Given the grace of being accepted by the CBCA, the members mobilized themselves by raising awareness among each other, which meant that during the first worship service held in July 2016, there were 63 people. And the workforce continued to increase day by day.
After reassuring itself of the convincing indicators and seeing the dynamism of Kampala's faithful, the BCCA General Secretariat saw fit to send to Kampala, in September 2016, the missionary pastoral couple of the Rev. KISUBA NDUNGO KATEGHE Ezekieli as Pastor of the Parish and Delegate of the Community President and Legal Representative of the BCCA in Uganda. It should be noted that a prayer service was held in Goma in the BCCA Virunga Parish Temple to send the missionary couple to Kampala and consecrate Kampala as a BCCA mission field.
It was in September 2016 that the pastoral couple arrived in Kampala. Together with the Christians, they celebrated the Church servce of September-December 2016 in a balcony of the restaurant of a Congolese woman, Mrs. Vira. From January-December 2017, they took a rented room on the 4th floor in the ZAINA Textile Center building near the COOPER COMPLEX where they paid the rent of $ 430 per month.
Given that the case was decided by the BCCA and saw the need to have a land for the parish in Kampala, a great mobilization throughout the BCCA and several pastoral steps were made and this allowed the purchase and acquisition a land of $ 70,000.
It is in May 2018 that the Parish has erected a tent (Hema Takatifu) serving as a temple on its own concession in the center of Kampala. The BCCA Kampala Parish has now totaled 2 years since its official launch which took place with the celebration of the very first Sunday worship in the concession in July 2017 with a staff of 63 Christians.
It should be noted from the outset that BCCA Kampala Parish quickly became autonomous on January 28, 2018, and elevated to the rank of the section by the Vice President and Alternate Legal Representative of the BCCA, Rev. KAMBALE KILUMBIRO Martin
